SKIN CANCER SURGERY 

If you have a lesion which requires surgical removal there are several options.

 

Coast Skin has a dedicated  minor surgery theatre. Both Graham and Sean have had additional training and are experienced in this area. We enjoy providing this service with our Nurse Tanya assisting.

Dedicated appointments are kept aside for surgery to ensure appointments are available in a timely manner.

We can manage the excision, dressings, removal of sutures and followup with the results.

 

If a lesion is in a more difficult area or requires a more complicated procedure referrals will be made to the appropriate local Plastic Surgeons. We maintain a good working relationship with the Christchurch specialists.

 

Referral to the public plastic surgical team is possible though they have very significant delays for anything but the most serious cases.

 

Sometimes people prefer to get their usual GP to manage their excision. This can be appropriate and we do our best to facilitate this.
