Tanya Tooley RN

Originally from Christchurch I initially trained as a Speech Language Therapist. After working within the hospital system for 17 years both here and in the UK, I stopped when family commitments became my new priority. I attempted to achieve "domestic goddess status" but in a chaotic blended household with four kids that didn't quite happen. Once the kids were all in high school I decided to re-train as a registered nurse. To add to the challenge I elected to undertake a Masters of Health Science at the same time. My sanity has been questioned on more than one occasion!

I began my nursing career working at Redcliffs Medical Centre as a practice nurse and also undertook the role of an education facilitator for Pegasus Health. It was in Redcliffs that I met Graham and my journey with skin cancer began.

I have completed my Certificate in Skin Cancer and am just completing my Professional Diploma of Dermoscopy.

I am now beginning to offer discounted skin checks to try and make this type of service more accessible, with the fabulous support of both Graham and Sean!

I still have a chaotic household of four kids/adults, with the eldest having just turned 21. Outside of work I enjoy mountain biking, strolls through Burwood forest and riding my motorbike.
