Brendan is an experienced GP with a passion for early skin cancer detection and treatment.
He completed his medical training in Australia where he developed an interest in skin cancer medicine while working in the skin cancer hotspots of Far North Queensland and regional Victoria.
Upon returning home to New Zealand he worked as a local GP for many years before specialising further in skin cancer medicine. In addition to his role at Coast Skin he works regularly at an Urgent Care clinic.
He is well regarded for his excellent communication, attention to detail, and surgical skill. He is experienced with skin cancer surgery in addition to other minor procedures including vasectomies.
He has broad clinical experience including General Practice, Indigenous and Refugee health, Palliative Care, Aged Care and Urgent Care which have shaped him into a compassionate and well rounded practitioner.
Outside of work he enjoys spending time with his young children and is a keen trail runner.
